Today I didn't want to get up
The world will do fine without me today
Yesterday I should have finished those two essays
My teacher is going to be upset
Tomarrow I have SATs
I have to be there at 6 in the morning
My world is spinning by me so fast
The ground I'm walking on isn't stable
At night while I sleep the trees rearrange themselves
They do it just to confuse me
And I keep trying to remember the name of that singer
But the name just keeps passing me by
My life is like the tie-dye shirt I am wearing
A continuing of swirls and splashes of color
The sidewalk I am standing on isn't strong enough to hold me
It crumbles beneath me
As I stand on nothing but air my legs give out beneath me
And I fall forever down into dispair.

Love the trees re arranging themselves. Have you ever read any of the poetry of Spike Milligan. He wrote a lot of childrens verse but when you know more about his life you can see other pictures in there.
It's a good poem. I like it.
